The Control Panel tab ‘Users and groups’ now becomes ‘Organization & users’. Click on this new tab to create a new organization.

To create organizational units:
1. In the organizational tree, highlight the organizational unit to which you want to add a child.
2. Click the ‘Add suborganization’ button..
3. Enter a name and description for the new organization.
4. Click the ‘Add organization’ button.
5. The new organizational unit appears as a child of the organizational unit you selected at step 1.

To enable/disable services for specific users:
1. Services that are disabled on the main dashboard will be disabled for all users.
2. Click the ‘Organizations & users’ tab.
3. Select the appropriate organization.
4. Click the ‘Services’ sub-tab.
5. Click ‘On/Off’ to change service settings or if it’s a sub-organization, click ‘Override this setting‘ or ‘Use inherited‘ links to change settings.

- This feature is only available to domains using the ‘Next Generation’ version of the control panel. To enable this version in the control panel, click ‘Domain settings’, then ‘General’ and ensure the checkbox ‘Next generation (US English only)’ is enabled.

- A user can exist in only a single node in the hierarchy tree.

Gmail contextual gadgets are web applications that render in your Gmail web interface when triggered by certain cues. Gmail now requires verification of forwarding addresses when using filters or autoforwarding

When setting up a new filter that forwards email or auto-forwarding email to a specific email address, you now need to also verify that you actually have permission to forward to that address. This is similar to verifying addresses for the ‘custom from’ feature.

There are exemptions to this change: Premier and Education edition users will not need to verify forwarding addresses that are:
- in their own domain
- in a subdomain of their own domain
- in a domain alias configured as part of the Google Apps account

- Premier and Education Editions: If you are forwarding email to an address that does not come under the three categories above, then you will need to verify that address and a verification email will be sent to that address.

- Standard and Partner Editions: When setting up forwarding via a filter or autoforwarding, you will receive a verification email to the address that you are forwarding to.
Email lists: A user will have to verify that they have permission to forward to that list just like any other address and a verification email will be sent to the list. If the user has read access to the list, they’ll be able to get the confirmation code and verify the auto-forward address.

- Email Settings API: This API also allows forwarding to be configured. If the address being forwarded to does not need verification as outlined in the categories above, then this will work as expected. If the address requires verification and has not been verified, this setting will fail.

Google Wave (Labs) available for Google Apps

Google Wave is a new web application designed to make groups of people more productive when communicating and working together. In Google Wave, everything takes place in flexible, hosted conversations known as waves. Waves are shared spaces on the web that update live as you type and support rich media and real-time gadgets.
Today, Google Apps admins can give their users access to the Google Wave preview through Apps. Domain administrators can turn Google Wave through the control panel and users can sign in at http://wave.google.com/a/sancc.com.

A new look for Google Calendar

The Google Calendar interface has been given a new look. Some of the changes include a change to colors, less white space and the ‘Create event’ link is now a button. The link for ‘Tasks’ has also been removed and is now a calendar.

比如，企业用户将可以通过Blogger发布公司博客，在 Picasa Web Albums 里分享工程照片，通过 Google Reader 跟踪行业新闻，通过 AdWords 发布在线广告等等，所有这些都将可通过 Google Apps 一个帐户就可以访问，再也不必切换到个人的 Google 帐户了。所有标准版、高级版和教育版客户都可在今年秋季享受到这些新的服务，将允许企业管理员来选择是否开通这些新服务。

New ability to remove/include individual users from contact sharing

Administrators now have the ability to remove individual users from appearing in contact sharing when that option is enabled. Contact sharing is also sometimes referred to as the global address list.

Premier and Education Editions

Languages included:
US English

How to access what’s new:
- In the Google Apps control panel, click the ‘Users and groups’ tab, then click on the individual user’s name to access the user’s settings.
- Under ‘Contact sharing’, disable/enable the checkbox to remove/include the user from appearing in contact sharing.
- If contact sharing is enabled, then the user’s contact information is shared by default.
- If contact sharing has not been enabled, then this new option will not be visible.

Note: The control panel needs to be the ‘Next generation’ version.

Ability to reset sign-in cookies from the control panel

Now Google Apps admins can reset the sign-in cookies for any user from the Google Apps control panel. This will log out a user from all current browser sessions and require new authentication the next time that user tries to initiate an browser session to log in to Google Apps.

All languages supported by the Google Apps Administrator control panel

How to access what’s new:
To reset the sign-in cookies for a user:
- In the Google Apps control panel, click the ‘Users and groups’ tab, then click the user’s name.
- In the ‘Password’ section, click ‘Reset sign-in cookies’.
